Useful Information

Studying abroad is a fabulous opportunity to make new and exciting discoveries, both in the world around you and inside yourself.  But, by definition, it is also an experience of what is unfamiliar to you, and the thought of leaving family, friends and home may even be 'scary'.

The pages in this section of the web site are designed to answer some (but not all - as that might spoil the surprise) of the obvious preparation and orientation type questions you might have.

Our Orientation Notes guide you through preparing to come to Harlaxton; from making sure your passport is current to deciding what to pack.

The Student Handbook gives 'chapter and verse' on academic and student policies and procedures as well as further information which will help you prepare.

The Parent Handbook has been designed to help your family adjust to your leaving home and give useful information in case they would like to visit you whilst you are here. By the way, your visitors - friends and family - are most welcome.
